About The Position
As a member of the Food Services team, the Dishwasher/Porter will be responsible for dish room duties, transportation of meal carts to and from units, assigned cleaning and sanitation of departmental equipment and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Ability to fluently read, write speak and follow written and oral instruction in the English language.
- One (1) year food services experience, preferably in a health care environment
- Knowledge of food service sanitation standards and infection control practices
- Minimum of Food Safe Basic Level (current)
- Ability to stand / walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive activities such as lifting (up to 11-22 lbs), reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and walking as required
- Must be able to pass a physical assessment
- Must be able to work where exposed to infection, blood/human waste, odors and work interruptions
- Ability to process information, organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work without direct supervision in a team environment
- Adheres to EllisDon uniform and footwear policy
- Must be authorized to work in Canada (proof may be required)
