About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position at Memorial Union. Only UND students are eligible to be hired. The role involves cleaning dishes from various dining locations within the union, operating a dish machine, and maintaining a clean and sanitary dish room. Other duties may include sweeping, mopping, and garbage removal.

Requirements

Ability to stand for 3–4 hours
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen
Compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements including taking out jewelry and wearing a hairnet.
Must be available to work during day hours as well as nights & weekends
Able to move 35 – 50 pounds
Must be a UND student
Must be eligible to work in the US and complete required employment eligibility verification form
Does not support visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

Scrubbing pots and pans and loading dishes onto dish machine
Cleaning dishes from Chick-Fil-A, Panda Express, Dakota Deli, University Ave. Pizza, 1883 Grill, Catering, etc.
Sorting dishes, silverware, trays, and pans, washing them, and returning clean dishes to designated storage areas
Checking dishes, silverware, trays, and pans to ensure proper cleaning
Operating dish machine according to instructions
Following dish room checklists
Sweeping and mopping
Maintaining a clean and sanitary dish room
Removing garbage from dish room, rinsing and sanitizing garbage cans
Other duties as assigned
