About The Position

The Dishwasher position at North Star Mohican Casino Resort is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of customer service and cleanliness within the Food and Beverage Department. This role involves prompt and efficient service to guests, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering to all resort policies and procedures. The position requires reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is key, as the role may involve different shifts and tasks based on operational needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is required if you are 19 years old and under.
Must possess effective communication skills: ability to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
Strive to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current employment
Must have the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED required is preferred.
Position is flex for minors aged 16-17 who have either received a high school diploma or are currently completing their high school education.
Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Maintain a positive attitude towards each guest and fellow employee; and participate in a strong team effort.

Responsibilities

Ensures that the highest standards of customer service are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures set forth by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests.
Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
Must wear the approved, departmental uniform.
Empty garbage cans as needed and transported to designated areas.
Scrape, rack, wash, and unload dishware from dishwasher in an efficient manner.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates.
Keep work areas neat, clean, sanitized, and stocked with needed equipment and cleaning supplies.
Report any guest complaints or concerns to the immediate supervisor for resolution.
Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance.
Perform as a team member and assist fellow associates to ensure smooth operation.
Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Food and Beverage Department.
Must adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
