About The Position
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests. This role involves effective communication with guests and team members, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware and dining areas, and assisting with general upkeep of the kitchen and restrooms. The position also requires adherence to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and health codes, and a commitment to safety and security.
Requirements
- Restaurant dishwashing experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
- Dependable.
- Standing for long periods of time; frequently walking.
- Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
- Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
- Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning agents.

Responsibilities
- Deliver DKN’s “Home Away From Home” experience
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests.
- Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Maintain the cleanliness and assure the sanitation of all plates, cups, glasses and kitchen utensils as necessary for daily service.
- Maintain cleanliness of all floor areas including the kitchen, lounge, employee break room and restrooms; and empty trashcans in restaurant, lounge, kitchen area and restrooms.
- Maintain supplies of paper towels, toilet paper and soap.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining all kitchen surfaces including counters, shelves, walls and refrigerators to Pacifica Hotel Company standards and all health codes.
- Maintain cleanliness of back loading dock and dumpster area.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Be aware of the importance of safety and security.
- Be conscious of safety and security at all times.
