About The Position

YAYOI Japanese Restaurant is looking for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. The role involves washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness of dishwashing and kitchen areas, and assisting the kitchen team with cleaning and other back-of-house support as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently during busy service periods and uphold proper sanitation and food safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous dishwasher or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required for the position
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Keep the dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, trash areas, and other assigned BOH areas
• Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures
• Assist the kitchen team with cleaning and other BOH support as needed
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
