About The Position

The Dishwasher supports the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and operational readiness of the kitchen and back-of-house areas. This role is responsible for washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment; maintaining clean workspaces and restrooms; and supporting culinary operations through the safe transport and organization of materials throughout the venue. The Porter plays a critical role in maintaining food safety, sanitation compliance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous porter, stewarding, janitorial, or kitchen utility experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality, restaurant, stadium, hotel, or event environment preferred
  • Food Handler Certification or local sanitation certification preferred, where required by law or venue standards
  • Additional hospitality, sanitation, or workplace safety training is a plus
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and work collaboratively with kitchen and operations teams
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–10+ hours during events)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning and lifting motions
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and event days
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, dish, and back-of-house areas
  • Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and workspaces throughout the kitchen and service areas
  • Clean and maintain restroom facilities throughout the venue
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Transport food, supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the venue, as needed
  • Assist culinary and stewarding teams with operational support during service and events
  • Maintain organization of storage areas and ensure equipment is returned to designated locations
  • Support breakdown and cleanup efforts following events and service periods
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety expectations
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, supervisors, and team members
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
