About The Position
The purpose of this position is to operate efficiently and effectively in a large volume dish washing position. This position provides support to production staff, service staff and customers by providing clean and sanitary dishes and cooking equipment.
Requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in various temperatures associated with dish machine operations
- Able to stand/walk 4 to 4 ½ hours at a time
- Able to move 35 - 50 pounds.
- Is self-motivated, needs very little supervision
- Optimistic attitude, high degree of integrity, and a strong work ethic
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Successful completion of a criminal history records check
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Washing Dishes, service equipment and production equipment
- Operates dish machine according to instructions and informs production manager when supply of detergent or other chemicals are low.
- Checks the temperature gauges throughout the day
- Reports any machine failure to the production manager
- Sorts dishes, silverware, trays and pans; washes them; returns them to their designated storage areas
- Checks dishes, silverware, trays, and pans to insure proper cleaning and sanitation
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the dish room area
- Maintains a clean and sanitary dish room
- Keeps all tray and dish carts clean
- Disassembles, scrubs, washes, sanitizes and reassembles dish machine daily
- Polishes exterior of machine weekly
- Supervises student employees
- Train student staff in the proper procedures of dish machine operation
- Other duties as assigned
- Assists with light custodial duties during peak times and breaks
- Attends scheduled meetings and training sessions
