About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning pans, pots, dishes, and other elements used in the Tasting Room and Kitchen. They operate the dishwashing machine or wash dishes by hand, and maintain kitchen cleanliness. The dishwasher scrapes, sorts, and stacks dirty dishes, loads them into the dishwashing machine and then adds soap to turn it on. Once the cleaning operation is complete, they unload the dishes and put them in their places to be reused again. The Dishwasher is a fast-paced position that’s essential for the kitchen to operate at the desired level. This position works under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced working environment.
  • Able to follow verbal instructions.
  • Ability to maintain a Food Handler’s certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior restaurant kitchen experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Setting up dish pit; ensuring chemicals are properly stocked and connected.
  • Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans.
  • Placing clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Other cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Minor prep tasks as needed.
  • Upholding food safety standards at all times.
