About The Position

Part-time, temporary/casual employees are hired on a seasonal basis during peak periods. They may serve a maximum of four consecutive months and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week. The PA Child Abuse, State of PA Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances are required to be submitted prior to employment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all dishes and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Ability to work efficiently, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with students and supervisors.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using both manual and machine methods.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in appropriate storage areas, ensuring easy access.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Monitor and manage the inventory of dishwashing supplies (detergents, sanitizers, etc.), and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Regularly check and maintain dishwashing equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Occasionally assist with basic food prep tasks when not engaged in dishwashing duties.
