About The Position
The Dishwasher position involves assisting with daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors. Key tasks include carrying soiled utensils to the wash area, washing and cleaning dishes and utensils, and returning clean items to proper storage. The role also requires carrying out garbage, maintaining clean, dry, and hazard-free work areas, and removing food trays from dining areas. Additionally, the Dishwasher will assist in keeping food storage areas clean and organized, and dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties
- Sweep and mop floors as directed
- Carry soiled utensils, etc., to the wash area
- Return clean utensils to proper storage areas
- Wash and clean dishes/utensils as directed
- Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
- Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to the dishwashing area
- Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
