About The Position

Dishwashers provide an outstanding experience for our guests, ensuring sanitation and safety in an organized, efficient, kitchen environment, and maintaining an available supply of clean tableware and cookware in this vital, fast-paced, physical role. Dishwashers report to Back of House managerial and supervisory staff and work closely with everyone in designated kitchen environments.

Requirements

No experience required
Knowledge of basic safety requirements and food handling safety standards.
Safety and WHMIS training are an asset.
Self-motivator with a positive, professional, fun attitude.
Excellent time management, organization, and teamwork skills.
Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This is a physically demanding position that requires working at high altitude, standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and frequent manual handling of items and heavy loads around 10 kgs. A good level of fitness is required.

Responsibilities

Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen.
Following policies and Sunshine standards as well as adhere to workplace safety and food safety/sanitation regulations.
Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, floors, kitchen surfaces, and kitchen equipment, in a thorough and consistent manner throughout shifts.
Load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away.
Administrative responsibilities, including conducting regular worksite inspections and filling in logs to ensure proper chemical levels with the equipment.
Additional cleaning tasks, including daily cleaning of screens, weekly full empty of grease traps, and fridge, freezer, and other equipment cleaning as directed by Supervisor(s) or designates.
Other duties may be added and assigned from time to time.
