About The Position

The Dishwasher performs kitchen cleaning and storage activities, including washing dishes and pots, cleaning general areas and equipment, and storing and rotating food and supplies. The role handles food, storage, and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding food storage, cleaning, and preparation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or a casual dining restaurant.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift 25 pounds, and bend, climb, or work in confined spaces.
• Organizational and time-management skills, with good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean kitchen; wash and sort soiled dishes and prepare food as needed; keep the dish area organized and free of clutter.
• Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Keep floors clean and dry throughout the shift.
• Wash, stack, and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers properly.
• Change machine and sink water every two hours or more often as business levels require, and use chemical dilutions properly.
• Assist with timely storage of food deliveries.
• Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintain the dry storage area and organize storage shelves.
• Follow posted daily dish-cleaning duties.
• Assist with food preparation and other duties requested by the chef as needed.
