About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all dishes, glasses, service utensils, and equipment. The dishwasher will ensure the dish area is kept clean and organized, manage trash and boxes, and communicate any supply or equipment needs to management. Specific duties vary between AM and PM shifts, including managing chemical levels, setting up the dish area, deep cleaning tasks, and completing daily/weekly maintenance schedules. The PM shift also includes sweeping, mopping, and cleaning kitchen drains.

Requirements

Must have a current AZ food handlers card.
Must have slip resistant shoes.
Must be able to stand and exert fast pace mobility for up to 8 hours.
Must have a good sense of balance.
Must be able to bend, lift, and carry pans, trays, and bus tubs 25lbs or more.

Responsibilities

Clean all dishes, glasses, service utensils, and equipment as needed.
Return all dishes to the line in a timely fashion using a cart.
Keep the dish area clean and organized at all times.
Take out trash and boxes throughout the shift as needed, and break down all boxes.
Inform management of any dish needs, such as needed items or broken equipment.
Ensure chemicals are at the correct level using dish machine strips.
Set up the dish area with empty glass racks and pre-soak containers.
If the dish area is clear, find something to deep clean or assist with prep if needed.
Complete daily/weekly cleaning and maintenance, referencing the cleaning and maintenance schedule if needed.
Clean and organize the entire dish area, and assist with line cleaning as needed (PM shift).
Take out all trash and boxes at the end of the shift (PM shift).
Complete all dishes and clear all sinks, leaving nothing overnight except for soaking grill or saute grates (PM shift).
Sweep and mop the entire back room and walk-in (PM shift).
Clean out all kitchen drains (PM shift).
