About The Position

The Dishwasher provides a safe and sanitized area for staff and guests by washing and sanitizing plate ware, drink ware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. The role keeps the dish room clean and organized and may assist prep cooks and other kitchen staff as needed, particularly during peak times.

This position is available full-time or part-time. The listed pay range is $18.50–$21.50 per hour, based on experience. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for this evergreen role.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Must possess a current Food Handler’s Card where applicable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to learn about chemicals used in the building and how to use them properly.
• Ability to work around varying temperatures, including warm to very warm kitchen temperatures.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial dishwasher.
• Wash dishes and sanitize utensils, plate ware, drink ware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Sweep and mop floors; clean and maintain equipment; and maintain clean and orderly restaurant areas.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, and equipment.
• Follow proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles.
• Assist prep cooks and other kitchen staff as needed, including with basic preparation during peak times.
• Load or unload trucks delivering or picking up food or supplies.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work.
• Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.
