About The Position

Summerhill Market is a Toronto boutique grocer known for scratch-made prepared foods, freshly baked treats, and on-trend ingredients. They are looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher to join the team at their Production Bakery. This role is for someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly behind the scenes.

Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and ready to work as part of a busy production team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen or bakery environment
• Able to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and regularly bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Comfortable working around commercial dishwashing equipment, water, heat, and cleaning products
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety
• Able to work independently while also supporting the broader Bakery team

Nice To Haves

• Previous dishwasher, kitchen, bakery, or food-production experience is an asset but not required
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, baking trays, sheet pans, utensils, mixing bowls, equipment, and other production tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dishwashing and sanitation area
• Ensure clean equipment and tools are returned to the appropriate production areas promptly
• Assist with general cleaning and sanitation throughout the Production Bakery
• Clean floors, work surfaces, sinks, equipment, and other areas as required
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and health & safety procedures
• Remove garbage, recycling, and waste and maintain designated disposal areas
• Support Bakery production teams by ensuring they have the clean equipment and tools needed throughout the day
• Assist with general Bakery duties and cleaning tasks as required
• Work efficiently during busy production periods while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization
