Dishwasher (Full Time)
About The Position
The Dishwasher maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen and work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. This full-time position is at the University of Missouri-Rolla in Rolla, Missouri. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday, with hours that may vary. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required. The pay range is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled. The position may include periods when work is not required during educational facility breaks, such as winter and summer breaks, and those periods may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, the associate may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during breaks.

- Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or load them into racks or a dishwashing machine.
- Ensure dishes and other items are completely clean and sanitized.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using the equipment and procedures assigned.
- Follow outlined safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
