About The Position

Presbyterian is hiring a Dishwasher to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties in a hospital kitchen/cafeteria. This includes retrieving trays, cleaning meal carts, operating the dish machine, washing pots, and placing clean dishes. Janitorial duties such as throwing trash, sweeping, and mopping are also required. The role involves participating in the delivery of food services to customers, while maintaining quality and sanitation standards. Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system founded in New Mexico in 1908. It operates nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a multi-specialty medical group, employing nearly 14,000 individuals. Requirements

  • Less than high school
  • Less than one year experience in customer service or food service environment
  • Minimal legal age for consideration is 16

Responsibilities

  • Retrieving trays from dirty utility room
  • Cleaning off meal carts
  • Sending dirty dishes through dish machine
  • Washing pots
  • Placing clean dishes in designated work area
  • Throwing trash
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Participate in delivery of food services tray to customers, while maintaining quality and sanitation standards as needed
  • Participates in assembly and delivery of patient/customer meals in accordance with established criteria and procedures
  • Supports the organizations visions, values and strategies
  • Maintains and supports sanitation standards as required by department policy and regulatory agencies
  • Operates and maintains equipment commensurate with job assignment
  • Ensures quality guidelines are maintained as they pertain to the area assigned
  • Maintains department records, reports and files as required
  • Participates in educational meetings/in-services
