About The Position

The Brew Brothers Steward (Dishwasher) is responsible for ensuring all restaurant china, service wares, and kitchen equipment are clean and stored properly while providing superior service to both internal and external guests. This is a full-time position with an evening shift, and the schedule is subject to change. The role requires maintaining a clean, safe, friendly, and fun environment for guests and employees, providing superior guest service, and interacting positively with guests and employees. The position also involves dealing with difficult guests and working effectively and courteously with fellow employees. Reporting to work in a neat, clean, and pressed uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene is essential. Knowledge and demonstration of workplace safety procedures are required. The Steward must maintain health department standards, including dating products, product rotation, proper food temperatures, and overall food quality and appearance. Completing all required training within designated time frames is also necessary. The role involves storing service ware, pots, and pans neatly and orderly, taking out kitchen trash, and keeping floors swept and clear of debris. Safe use of kitchen disposal, dish machine, and high-pressure washers is required, as is correctly identifying and safely using proper chemicals for each area of the dish room. Ensuring dishes are free of heavy debris before placing them in the dish machine is crucial. The Steward should act in ways that surprise and delight guests, leaving them with positive feelings about the property and establishing/maintaining relationships. A "yes we can" attitude is expected for every guest, every time. Compliance with the drug & alcohol-free workplace policy is mandatory, and subject to post-offer, for-cause, and post-accident drug tests. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, basic math skills and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to read recipes, training documents, warning labels on equipment and chemicals.
  • Ability to communicate with other employees.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Cooper County Health Certification Card.
  • Must wear black, slip resistant shoes at all times.
  • Must be able to safely use kitchen disposal, dish machine, high-pressure washers.
  • Must be able to correctly identify and safely use proper chemicals for each area of dish room.
  • Must be able to maintain health department standards, which includes dates on products, product rotation, proper food temperatures, and overall food quality and appearance.
  • Must be able to move safely and effectively in a hot, wet environment with moving equipment.
  • Must stand or walk for long periods of time: standing or walking 100%, of which lifting 10%.
  • Must be able to team lift 120lbs maximum.
  • Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Broad variety of tasks and irregular work schedule will be required.
