About The Position

We are hiring immediately for full time DISHWASHER positions at the University of North Alabama. This role is responsible for maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The position ensures compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing food preparation surfaces, and managing trash and garbage cans. The role also involves transferring supplies and equipment and assisting with loading and unloading. This is a full-time position with a fixed pay rate of $12.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Prior food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
• Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays.
• Polishes silver using assigned equipment and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
