About The Position
The Dishwasher position at Community Hospital is a full-time role responsible for operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, and contributing to the overall hygiene of the kitchen environment. This role also involves assisting kitchen staff with basic food preparation and maintaining kitchen areas. Requirements
- Current ServSafe certification or Food handler’s Card (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of customer service experience in a food services or retail environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand as required.
- Ensure all cleaned items are thoroughly sanitized and free from food particles.
- Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including sinks, countertops, and floors.
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of dishwashing machines and equipment.
- Retrieves dish carts, patient trays, and employee trays throughout the organization.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
