About The Position
We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Dishwasher. This position is responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the dish washing machine, washing of all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other items used in the restaurant, kitchen, and banquet department. The role also involves breaking down boxes, emptying trash containers into the dumpster, cleaning kitchen walls and floors, assisting in cleaning ovens and refrigerators, ensuring proper sanitization temperatures of the dish machine, and keeping the floor dry and free of debris. Additionally, the dishwasher will assist with unloading shipments, dating items, and putting items away.
Requirements
- Able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stock items on shelves above eye level
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Aware of safety procedures within the kitchen area
Responsibilities
- Operation and cleanliness of the dish washing machine
- Washing of all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other items used in the restaurant, kitchen, and banquet department
- Breakdown of all boxes and emptying trash containers into the dumpster
- Clean walls in kitchen as appropriate
- Clean floor mats, sweeps, and mops entire kitchen floor daily
- Assist in the cleaning of ovens and refrigerators regularly
- Ensure that the dish machine is reading at the appropriate temperature to ensure proper sanitization of dishes
- Ensure that the floor is kept dry and free of debris at all times
- Assist with unloading shipments, dating items, and putting items away
