About The Position
The Modern Maturity Center is hiring Dishwashers for Banquets. This is an "On-Call" position. The role involves maintaining kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Requirements
- Must be available to work nights and/or weekends (no exceptions)
- Must pass a criminal background check (no felony convictions)
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
- Washes pots, pans, and trays.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
- Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between the Kitchen and storage areas.
- Ensures dish machine, sink, table, and drain board are clean and free of food.
- Removes and cleans dish machine strainers.
- Clears and cleans the top of the dishwasher.
- Empties and cleans all coffee and tea urns, including spouts.
- Stores washing racks neatly.
- Checks detergent and sanitizer buckets; refills if needed.
- Checks all Banquet rooms at the end of the event to make sure all pans and utensils have been cleaned.
- Checks with the head dishwasher before leaving the facility.
