About The Position
Responsible for providing clean and sanitary service ware to customers, while maintaining the cleanliness required by law and the standards of GTRS. This role involves maintaining the sanitation of dish rooms and cooperating with kitchen and banquet staff.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to multitask and keep to deadlines.
- Must be able to work with people and also work alone.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, lift and carry dish racks weighing up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and keep a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sort and store all china, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, and all other items.
- Inspect all items to ensure they are cleaned to standards.
- Deliver dish orders to function sites.
- Presoak all flatware in solution.
- Drain/change water in dish machine, checking soap and rinse agents level on a regular basis (de-lime as needed).
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including counters, floors and equipment.
- Constantly monitor and clean halls, loading docks, stewarding storeroom, silver room, coffee crew area, and dish rooms.
- Assist kitchen staff with plate ups.
- Maintain garbage pick ups throughout the banquet kitchen and the bakery.
- Maintain cardboard recycling throughout the day.
- Pick up bakery dishes, wash and put away throughout the day.
- Clean all kitchen equipment when asked by chef.
- Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort.
