About The Position
The Black Bear Diner is seeking a Dishwasher/Table Busser who possesses qualities such as patience, a good sense of humor, enthusiasm, and the ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask. The role requires clear communication with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel. The work environment can be hot, noisy, and congested. The company is committed to providing a safe work environment and requires a pre-employment drug test (including for recreational marijuana), background checks, and conducts random drug testing. This is an on-site position and the company is unable to sponsor a Visa.
Requirements
- Ability to work in an environment that is often hot, noisy, and congested.
- Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Complies with all company standards related to appearance and uniform standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test for any drugs causing impairment, which includes recreational marijuana.
- Must pass background checks.
- Must be able to work on-site.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
- Keep dish area clean and organized.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas.
- Bus tables, removing used dishes and resetting tables.
- Restock service areas with supplies such as clean dishes, silverware, and glassware.
