About The Position

The Café is an exceptional environment with a mission to make everyone's day a little better through dignity, courtesy, respect, and reverence for surroundings. The service concept is built on passion for food, service, wine, and community, aiming for a confident, educated, and welcoming staff to act as concierges for guests. Consistency of service is paramount from reservation to departure.

Requirements

Must be able to work 7 dinners and 2 brunches a week, inclusive of all holidays.
May be asked to work extended shifts and additional days based on business demands.
Must be aware and able to work all weekends.
Must be able to work holiday weekends, including Mondays.
Must be flexible to learn, grow, and earn.
Ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for sustained periods, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures.

Responsibilities

Constantly and consistently exhibit The Café core values and standards of behavior.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
Sweep and scrub floors.
Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
Keep Staff Café area clean and stocked.
Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
