About The Position

A versatile team member who keeps the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation while assisting with daily food preparation. Duties include washing dishes, cleaning equipment and work areas, preparing ingredients, and supporting cooks as needed.

Requirements

Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying 100 pounds.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.

Experience with banquet setup and breakdown.
Experience with carving, pasta, and omelet stations.
Experience with receiving and storing food products.

Responsibilities

Operate the dishwashing area, cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
Keep the kitchen, dish room, cook line, and work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Sweep, mop, clean drains, counters, shelves, mats, and other kitchen areas while maintaining proper sanitation standards.
Remove trash and help maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Assist with banquet setup and breakdown, including cleaning dishes and supporting special events.
Prepare ingredients, appetizers, salads, vegetables, desserts, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Set up and maintain prep stations, ensuring food is properly prepared, stored, and held at the correct temperature.
Assist cooks with food preparation, plating, garnishing, and maintaining proper presentation.
Help with special events and food stations, including carving, pasta, and omelet stations as needed.
Assist with receiving and storing food products, including produce, meat, and seafood.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
