About The Position

Kitchen Team Members keep our kitchen running. Your home base is the dish station: washing, sanitizing, and restocking the dishes, cookware, and utensils the kitchen needs for every meal. When the dish station is caught up, you'll support food prep, storage, and guest meal service, so you'll work in several areas of the kitchen during a shift. This is a good fit for someone who likes staying busy, working on their feet, and being part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a dishwasher, kitchen steward, prep cook, busser, or in another food service or back of house role
  • Customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • California Food Handler Card, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans
  • Open and close the dish station and complete daily checklists
  • Keep work stations clean and sanitized
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors
  • Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and make trash runs
  • Take soiled linens to laundry and pick up clean linens and rags
  • Prep ingredients for current and upcoming meals according to the kitchen prep list
  • Unload deliveries and organize the walk-in refrigerators, dry storage, and outside storage
  • Prepare and deliver snack service, water service, and room service orders
  • Help open and close the kitchen
  • Set up buffet lines and coffee and beverage stations on time and to company and sanitation standards
  • Monitor and refill the buffet line during meal service
  • Set tables and inspect silverware and glassware before use
  • Check food for presentation and quality before serving
  • Keep the beverage station and kitchen break room clean and organized
  • Understand dietary restrictions and bring guest concerns to the Shift Lead or Chef
  • Provide friendly, helpful service to every guest
