About The Position

The PantherDining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Dishwasher II. This position promotes sustainability within dining operations including implementation and maintenance of Somat or similar food pulping procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Two years of related experience
Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders.
Ability to lift 35 pounds.
Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous dishwashing experience.

Responsibilities

Works with management to ensure continued compliance with green seal initiatives.
Serves as lead person on dishwashing assignments.
Assists in the training and development of Dishwasher I, students, and temporary employees on washing methods and procedures.
Properly cleans the cooking utensils and equipment.
Restocks all washed items in appropriate area.
Maintains the cleanliness of dish machines as well as dish areas.
Washes, sorts, replaces, and restocks flatware, serving dishes, china, glasses, and all other washable items.
Assists daily in trash removal, cleaning, and maintenance of the back of house operation.
Assists in the organization, pick up, and cleaning of laundry area.
Ensures the dish machine is properly cleaned and maintained throughout the shift.
Oversees assigned student and temporary personnel.
May be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.
