About The Position

At Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, you'll play an essential role behind the scenes, supporting concerts, weddings, private events, catering, concessions, and daily dining operations. Our Dishwashers are a critical part of the culinary team, ensuring chefs and service staff have clean equipment, cookware, and service ware needed to create exceptional guest experiences. Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Reliable transportation
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Nice To Haves

Previous dishwasher, kitchen utility, restaurant, catering, hospitality, or food service experience
Experience working in high-volume kitchens or event environments
Knowledge of commercial dishwashing equipment and food safety practices

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and safe dishwashing and kitchen areas
Support cafe, catering, concessions, banquet, and event operations
Restock clean dishes, glassware, and kitchen supplies throughout service
Assist with event setup, breakdown, and kitchen support as needed
Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards
Work closely with chefs, cooks, and hospitality staff to keep operations running smoothly
Receive and verify food, beverage, and supply deliveries for accuracy, and report discrepancies to the designated manager
Stock and organize products using First In, First Out (FIFO) practices while maintaining clean and orderly storage spaces
Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
