About The Position

Nothing Bundt Cakes Murfreesboro is hiring a part-time Dishwasher and Bakery Assistant. This role offers flexible scheduling with hours typically ranging from 15-25 per week, Monday through Saturday. The position involves washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness of the bakery, assisting bakers and frosters, and performing general cleaning tasks. The role requires physical stamina as the individual will be on their feet for extended periods and needs to lift moderately heavy items.

Requirements

• Ability to understand written and oral directions
• Ability to interpret instructional documents such as operating procedures and health and safety rules
• Ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks
• Strength to lift items of moderate to heavyweight (as much as 50 pounds)
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to evaluate processes, information, and surroundings to determine compliance with standards
• Discipline and attention to detail to strictly adhere to health and safety practices and work environment standards
• Diligence, organization, and self-motivation
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher
• Previous experience in another operational support role at a bakery, restaurant or foodservice environment

Responsibilities

• Washing all dishes
• Keeping all walls, floors, shelves and surfaces clean
• Assisting Baker and Froster with daily tasks
• Assisting other departments as needed
• Cleaning refrigerators
• Folding boxes
• Emptying trash and taking to dumpster
