As part of Thrive Restaurant Group, a family-owned company with over 50 years of experience, HomeGrown offers a fun, family atmosphere with opportunities for learning business, leadership, and hospitality. A key aspect of their culture is finishing work by 3:30 pm daily, with no dinner shifts. The Dish Washer role is crucial for supporting all restaurant operations and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring the smooth service of food and drinks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves.
• Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively in a high stress, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to help with maintenance responsibilities, prep cook responsibilities, and assist other stations on the line as needed.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day.
• Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.
• Adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, spray, wash, and sanitize all pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and utensils to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.
• Complete assigned prep work, following recipes exactly.
• Set up workstation.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during, and after the shift.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
• Assist with putting away deliveries.
