About The Position

Responsible for sanitation, cleanliness and operation of the dish room and cafeteria.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Enforce the guidelines, policies, and procedures set by the Food Service Department
  • Sanitation of all dishes, glassware, catering equipment, pots/pans, small ware, and utensils
  • Use of chemicals according to the MSDS and dish machine to ensure proper procedures and temperatures for sanitation
  • Putting away of all dishes, glassware, catering equipment, pots/pans, small wares, and utensils in their proper location
  • Cleaning and sanitation of all tables in the cafeteria
  • Cleaning and sanitation of all carts on a daily basis
  • Garbage removal and cleaning of the garbage receptacles
  • Mopping and cleaning of all spills and debris on the floors of the Food Service department
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of all mobile carts in the food service department at all times
  • Proper washing and sanitation of catering items to ensure no damage is occurring with these special items
  • Timely completion of any further cleaning tasks as assigned by FSM or Head Chef
  • Maintain a strong professional relationship with the Culinary Arts department
  • Attend industry-related conferences, workshops and seminars as appointed by the Food Service Manager
  • Immediately report any malfunctioning or broken equipment/small wares to FSM or Head Chef
  • Regular, prompt & reliable attendance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
