Dish Room Attendant
About The Position
The Dish Room Attendant is responsible for operating dishwashing and sanitation equipment, washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes, trays, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment. This role involves collecting and transporting soiled trays and dishware from service areas, maintaining the cleanliness of the dish room and surrounding work areas, and sorting, stacking, and organizing clean items for reuse. The attendant must follow food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and workplace safety standards. Additionally, the role includes assisting with waste removal, recycling, and general cleaning duties, and supporting other Food Services functions as assigned.
Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift, carry, push, and pull racks, carts, and supplies
- Work safely around hot water, cleaning chemicals, and food service equipment
- Perform repetitive cleaning and handling tasks in a fast-paced environment
