As a Discipline Design Leader, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of vehicle interior experiences by leading technological innovation. This role involves managing project budgets, ensuring Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance, driving design solutions, and supporting root cause analysis for various vehicle systems. You will also lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers, support competency development within the design team, and collaborate closely with engineering management and project leaders. The position offers the opportunity to mentor designers and foster a culture of continuous improvement within a dynamic, international environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
  • 3-5+ years of experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Ford Project Budget execution, ensuring alignment with overall project and entity budget guidelines.
  • Lead the team responsible for Project Discipline QCD Management (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) within the assigned project.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized methodologies, project dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Responsible for Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project.
  • Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project.
  • Support Root cause analysis for 0KM, warranty and Sys Validation using System validation environment for ULS, Camera and ECU.
  • Lead Technical Discussion with Customer, supplier and different Discipline.
  • Support Discipline QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) for rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for Project QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues.
  • Support Competency Development of the design team within the project.
  • Execute Discipline Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Engineering Manager and Discipline Team Leader on budget, design execution, quality control, and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the R&D Technical Project Leader for seamless integration of the discipline design.
  • Lead and Mentor Discipline Designers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
