About The Position

These roles focus on assisting patients and their families with hospitality, logistical, and support needs. These roles are essential for ensuring a smooth and efficient healthcare experience. Responsible for communicating and coordinating the movement of patients to and from University of Virginia Health using various resources such as ambulances, wheelchair vans, taxis, buses, and other means of transportation. Responsible for communicating with various internal and external customers involved with patient movement and medical center operations. Work requires detailed knowledge of regional geography, familiarity with insurance coverages, and application and interpretation of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Relevant experience in the field.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
