The Disaster Feeding Program Manager leads the day-to-day management, coordination, and implementation of IDEA's (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) mobile food kitchens initiative. This strategic program is designed to strengthen the organization’s disaster response capacity across the United States. This role supports the delivery of timely, scalable, and culturally appropriate emergency feeding operations in disaster-affected communities, ensuring alignment with IDEA’s mission, values, and humanitarian standards. This is a temporary position based on grant funding. Key responsibilities include managing program operations, coordinating logistics and supply chain systems, overseeing mobile kitchen deployment, and supporting volunteer mobilization and training. The Program Manager works closely with internal teams and external partners, including government agencies and VOAD networks, to ensure effective and coordinated disaster response efforts. Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining operational readiness, ensuring compliance with safety and food handling standards, and supporting monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes.
