About The Position

LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals for Engine Disassembly and Repair roles. The company is a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts for vehicles. Requirements

Ability to read and write.
Basic math skills.
Ability to use various hand held tools, pneumatic and electric tools, hoists, measuring devices, machinery, forklift, welding and/or magnaflux equipment, pallet jacks, and various washers.
No previous experience required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Operate within assigned cell according to systems, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Handle material and waste between processes.
Ensure quality of own work/product.
Perform daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance within the cell.
Participate in daily cell meetings and continuous improvement activities.
Participate in cell design and controls.
Support the cell leader in documentation maintenance.
Fill in for the cell leader when necessary.
Cross-train within the cell.
Provide quality products.
Perform various disassembly and repair operations on parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
Set up and operate complex machines.
Perform operations including washing, cleaning, checking, inspecting, material handling, repairing, gaging parts, magnafluxing, shot blasting, tumbling, and prepping.
Perform other duties as assigned or fill in for others in the department or other departments as needed or requested.
Train or instruct fellow workers regarding duties.
