About The Position
This position involves a variety of tasks focused on the disassembly and cleaning of parts. The associate will verify unit tags, remove external components like bolts and seals, and then proceed to disassemble internal parts such as the valve body, pumps, wiring harness, and clutch packs. A significant part of the role includes cleaning these parts using solvents, placing them in baskets, and sending them through a washer.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (approximately 8-10 hours).
- Ability to use handheld tools such as Impacts, Pneumatic Drills, Hammers etc.
- Standing: Continuously
- Walking: Occasionally
- Sitting: Never
- Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally.
- Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Verify the tag of the BOM matches the unit (core) provided.
- Remove bolts, seals, and other external components from the unit.
- Remove the oil pan to access internal parts.
- Remove internal components including the valve body, pump(s), wiring harness, and clutch packs.
- Clean parts using solvent.
- Place parts in baskets for washing.
- Send parts through a washer.
