We are seeking skilled and experienced Disability Support Workers, to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. You will support people with disability living in shared housing, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the set up of a new home in Balwyn North, supporting 3 people with disability as they settle into their new home. Successful candidates will have previous experience working in a varied environment which may include behaviours of concern, medical needs, activities of personal care and hoisting and manual handling. We have casual and part time roles available. As this is a new home, rosters are not yet readily available. However, to be considered you must be able to commit a variety of casual shifts in Balwyn North which will include sleepover shifts.

Requirements

  • Availability for sleepover shifts
  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Previous experience working behaviours of concern
  • Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
  • Manual Handling and Hoisting experience
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
