Disability Services Resource Counselor
About The Position
Community Interface Services is hiring Full-Time Resource Counselors to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence. Requirements
- Knowledge of housing resources or willingness to learn
- Strong communication, empathy, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle, insurance, and 2+ years of driving experience
Nice To Haves
- bachelor's degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Teaching essential independent living skills such cooking, cleaning, home maintenance, budgeting, etc.
- Supporting individuals who live independently through regular check-ins
- Connecting people with community resources and services
- Collaborating with local housing agencies and community partners
- Promoting self‑advocacy, confidence, and meaningful community involvement
