This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality early education experiences and a nurturing learning environment that supports school readiness for children with disabilities or developmental differences enrolled in Head Start (HS) Preschool and Infant/Toddler programs. This role provides monitoring, technical assistance, and guidance of disability services to staff to ensure regulatory compliance and the effective delivery of comprehensive services to children with disabilities and developmental differences. As the program disability services expert, the coordinator collaborates with staff to promote inclusive practices, positive adult-child interactions, and developmentally appropriate strategies that support children with disabilities and developmental differences. This position also partners with local agencies and community providers to facilitate timely referrals, evaluations, and completion of required disability-related documentation.
