About The Position

TURN Community Services in South Salt Lake, UT is looking to hire a full-time Residential Apartment Program Coordinator. This role offers meaningful work, an opportunity to advance a career in human services, and a supportive environment within a nonprofit organization. The Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the program for people with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and contract standards for programs and facilities. Clients are mostly independent but require varying levels of support with personal hygiene care, medical care, and behavior supports. The Coordinator will work with individuals, oversee, plan, and execute specific activities in these areas, as well as communication, social skills, safety, recreation, and leisure, to help individuals learn independence.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working with individuals with Developmental/intellectual disabilities
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience, which includes interviewing and hiring staff as well as conducting performance evaluations, training staff, and scheduling
  • Ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
  • Ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records
  • Personal and reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Computer skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Working hands-on with clients to ensure their physical and financial well-being.
  • Holding regular staff meetings.
  • Being available to the team for help or questions related to program operations.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the program for people with disabilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and contract standards for programs and facilities.
  • Working with individuals to oversee, plan, and execute specific activities in areas such as personal hygiene care, medical care, behavior supports, communication, social skills, safety, recreation, and leisure.
  • Helping individuals learn independence.
