This role requires the ability to operate electric, diesel, gasoline, or steam powered power construction equipment, such as a motor grader, bulldozer, scraper, shovel, derrick, tractor, front-end loader or other power equipment to excavate, move or grade earth, erect structures, move products, equipment, or materials to and from industrial work areas.

Requirements

• Must be able to operate electric, diesel, gasoline, or steam powered power construction equipment, such as a motor grader, bulldozer, scraper, shovel, derrick, tractor, front-end loader or other power equipment.
• 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• A Valid Driver's License.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
• Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.
• Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working at elevations, on uneven surfaces, or in confined spaces.
• Employees must possess sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities.
• Employees must be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies; exercise sound judgment; solve problems; maintain attention to detail; effectively manage stress; and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
• Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

Responsibilities

• Pushes and pulls levers and depresses pedals to raise, lower, and rotate boom and to raise and lower load line or to raise and lower blade or bucket.
• Raises, lowers blade or bucket, and rotates boom or load by sight or according to signals from helper.
• Inspects equipment for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
