About The Position

This role involves overseeing dirt operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The Foreman will be responsible for guiding a team, interpreting project documents, coordinating with other crafts, and managing work according to project scope, priorities, and schedules. A key aspect of this role is proactive problem-solving and ensuring work adheres to all standards and specifications.

Requirements

  • 6 years of industrial construction experience.
  • 2 years in a Supervisory role.
  • Ability to identify practices and conditions that are safe and at risk.
  • Ability to provide appropriate, on-the-spot corrective action.
  • Ability to check the adequacy of existing job/task methods and procedures.
  • Ability to instruct journeymen in specific craft tasks including safety procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of other craft disciplines for work coordination and conflict prevention.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Understanding of job specifications.
  • Ability to implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules.
  • Ability to inspect finished work for quality and completeness.
  • Understanding of the work scope and project priorities.
  • Understanding of work priorities and schedules.
  • Ability to complete planned work on schedule.
  • Ability to identify potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to take quick remedial action when work performed is not according to drawings and specifications, code requirements, or to quality of accepted construction standards.
  • Familiarity with project cost control procedures.
  • Commitment to stay within established cost goals and unit rate standards.
  • Ability to ensure accurate reports are submitted with regard to time sheets, backcharges, quantity, and work status.

Responsibilities
