About The Position

This role focuses on Directory Services administration, involving server management, account management, GPO management, and troubleshooting core services. The position requires a basic understanding of client/server, networking, and Windows server environments, with an emphasis on Active Directory administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in hybrid environments and possess troubleshooting skills to assist with complex problems.

Requirements

• A basic understanding of client/server, networking and internet fundamentals
• A basic understanding of Windows server 2012 or Higher
• A basic understanding of Active Directory Administration
• A basic understanding of GPOs, Account management, domains and trusts, DNS, DHCP and server management
• An understanding of powershell scripting and how it works
• Basic level troubleshooting and problem solving
• 1-4 Years direct experience in Microsoft Winders Server 2012 Server or higher deployment
• 1-4 Years direct experience in Domain Controller deployment, configuration and management
• 1-4 Years direct experience in Account management using active directory on-prem and Azure cloud environments
• 1-4 Years direct experience in Server management to include Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
• Security+, or other qualifying IAT II certification.
• Microsoft AZ-900 certification
• Active Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a hybrid environment that contains on-prem and cloud servers
• Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Windows server deployment
• Some troubleshooting background with the ability to assist with complex problems
• Group Policy administration experience
• Understanding of basic network security compliance and patching
• Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
• Some azure cloud environment experience
• Microsoft AZ-104 Administrator Associate certification
• AZ-800 and AZ801 Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure Certification

Responsibilities

• Server management to include deployment, management of security posture, and verifying core services
• Account management to include group, permissions, and basic configuration
• GPO Management using NetIQ Group Policy Administrator(GPA) and native tools
• RSAT tool experience
• DNS record management
• DHCP Server configuration and management
• Patching and DISA STIGing server to maintain required compliance
• Sites and services management
• Remedy ticketing system
• Manage servers in VMWare virtual environments
• Troubleshooting core services to include replication and domain trusts
• Powershell Script deployment and creation
