About The Position

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Communications/PR/Marketing agency or related roles within the sector
  • Proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage and developing successful PR and communications campaigns
  • Experience in the technology or financial services sectors
  • Strong team management, delegation and mentorship skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to independently manage and execute on client accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative communications strategies and campaigns that drive results for clients
  • Provide senior-level account management for key accounts
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering their growth and development
  • Spearhead client relations, ensuring exceptional service and identifying new opportunities
  • Oversee the creation of impactful media pitches, press releases, paid media copy and communication materials
  • Where applicable - ideate, pitch and manage compelling events and activations for clients looking to offer Canadians in-person brand touchpoints
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and oversee client re-signs and upsell opportunities
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and pitching to potential clients
  • Represent Talk Shop at industry events and foster relationships with key stakeholders
  • Contribute to a strong company culture, embodying the Talk Shop values and being a strong role model for peers and junior team
  • Engage in conversations across the leadership team, helping to shape the agency's future and continued success
