About The Position

This full-time Director position requires an Associate's Degree and offers a salary range of $53.00 - $84.00 per hour. The role is based in Artesia, NM 88210. The Director will serve as a clinical resource and role model, assist and communicate with the nursing team, and assume direct patient care responsibilities as needed. Key responsibilities include exercising administrative decision-making authority, managing staffing levels, supervising, evaluating, interviewing, disciplining, and managing assigned personnel. The Director will also develop the annual budget, operate efficiently, ensure customer needs are met within available resources, maintain supplies and equipment, increase department productivity, ensure employees meet licensing and education requirements, provide departmental coverage, and consistently improve customer satisfaction and service quality.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Three years in acute care setting within department specific
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Current New Mexico Nurse License
  • ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CNOR, where applicable per department required
  • Detailed knowledge of nursing practice and care delivery in terms of theories and practices to serve as the resource or educator to other practitioners in the nursing field.
  • Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
  • Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
  • Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model.

  • Increase productivity of the department.
  • Ensure department employees meet all license and education requirements; competencies and training needs are met.
