About The Position

The Hope Centers is a leading provider of educational and therapeutic services for children with special needs. We're looking for a determined, enthusiastic Education professional to step into the Academy Director role. You'll build relationships with families, lead a team of education professionals, and help staff grow and succeed in their roles.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (required)
Pennsylvania Special Education Training certification
Supervisory experience in a school setting
Experience working with individuals with developmental delays
Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
Act 114 FBI Clearance (issued by the Dept of Education)
Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Act 168 (from previous employers where you had contact with children)
State License of Practice and/or Certification
CPR/First Aid
TB Test/Physical

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

Drive Academy Performance — Guide goal-setting by integrating current education and special education best practices
Ensure Compliance — Keep services aligned with professional standards and state/federal regulatory requirements
Lead Your Team — Supervise, manage, and evaluate education staff across Hope Academy locations, including monthly check-in visits to monitor student progress and compliance
Communicate & Connect — Maintain regular, effective communication with faculty, staff, parents, and students, documenting in line with Hope's policies and procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned
