About The Position

This is a civilian position at the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) seeking an experienced Director to manage operations at their office located at Naval Submarine Base Groton. Prior association with NMCRS, either as an employee or a volunteer, will be a significant factor in evaluating a candidate's qualifications. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening and the candidate must be able to begin employment within 30 days of a job offer. The opportunity will remain open until filled.

Requirements

• Minimum of an AA degree or two years successful completion of college-level coursework equivalent to an AA degree.
• Four years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience may satisfy the minimum education requirement.
• Experience in recruiting, retaining, motivating, and working with Volunteer staff in an organization similar to NMCRS.
• Experience in public speaking or as a training facilitator.
• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Superior leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

• In-depth knowledge of pay and allowance systems.
• Experience providing financial management/counseling to others.
