The Director, Workforce Development and Continuing Education, is responsible for coordinating the College’s efforts to provide impactful workforce development and continuing education activities, primarily focused on the provision of high demand accelerated skills (and industry credentials) training. Work is performed under the general supervision of the assigned Academic Dean, and includes planning, managing, and increasing the number of CFK courses, workshops, and conference offerings, expanding community and employer (non-credit) collaborations, workforce development opportunities, contract training, management and training for the Apprenticeship Program, and enhancing continuing education processes. Profitable and in-demand community education programs such as motorcycle rider training are also a focus of this position. Beginning with a department of one and closely collaborating with Academic Deans to leverage program resources across course delivery methods, the incumbent will have the opportunity and charge to increase the College capacity to provide Workforce Development and Continuing Education services, improve student and client outcomes, and increase revenue, in support of the College mission to more fully serve the FL Keys region.
